Rachel Clare is a registered dietitian who specialises in eating disorders and disordered eating. Using the evidence based approaches; Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating, Rachel uses her expert knowledge to help clients regain a positive relationship with food and improve their body image.
Rachel works at one of the UK’s leading eating disorder treatment centres, Recover Clinic. She also sees clients suffering with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, orthorexia and binge eating disorder in her private practice.
Health at Every Size is an evidence based concept which imparts the message that health is totally achievable in any shaped or sized body. Instead of focusing on weight as a goal, Rachel encourages clients to improve their behaviours around food and movement to find their natural weight set point. Rachel therefore does not use diet plans unless a client is in eating disorder recovery.
Instead, Rachel provides intuitive eating coaching which encourages clients to listen to, and trust, their internal signals of hunger and fullness. She will also coach you to find total food freedom through a systematic break down of any dieting rules you may have gained over the years. In its place, adopting a flexible approach to nutrition which promotes true enjoyment and satisfaction from food.

“Having been a yo-yo dieter most of my adult life and being bombarded by social media about what is good and bad for you, I was clueless about nutrition and loathed having to food shop. I would stand in front of the shelves and just grab at products without any consideration. I had no idea what a balanced meal was or looked like.
However, during my bespoke 10 week programme with Rachel, she debunked many of my food myths and gradually reprogrammed my brain through nutritional education and lots of patience. I now feel more enlightened about what I eat and how I eat and for the first time in many years have stopped dieting and am now embracing a healthier lifestyle.” Amanda, 54
“Rachel played an integral role in developing and implementing our schools project. Her ability to adapt with the children, aged 6/7, ensured they all interacted and engaged with the subject matter. Thank you Rachel for all your hard work, looking forward to working with you again” Shaz John – Innovation Sports/Chartered Physiotherapy.
“I had preconceptions of being banned from all sugar, alcohol and carbs, so it was a bit of an eye-opener! I already feel I’m much more in control of things now that I can stop feeling guilty if I have a chocolate or some pasta/bread; it kind of takes the pressure off and is an encouraging way for me to implement changes” Female, 61 years.
“Rachel’s advice and direction has been extremely professional, scientific and above all realistic in combining a tailored, balanced diet with a busy working life – thankfully without a whiff of trend or New Age” Female.
